The challange
Network management is similar to cleaning: it is only apparent when it is done badly.  For obvious reasons it is paramount for an organisation to have a well managed network. Life is made much easier for both network administrator and the users if the DNS and the DHCP infrastructures are correctly designed. Unfortunately this is far from always the case. BlueCat's Adonis product is designed for making life easier for IT departments to administer and configure a DNS and DHCP infrastructure and organizing the IP addresses in both a simple and logical fashion.
Adonis is offering only one platform for administering all DNS and DHCP units and IP addresses in a network. The configuration and maintenance can be done from one user friendly interface.
An existing DNS and DHCP infrastructure can easily be imported so the user doesn't need to start all over again configuring the network when installing the Adonis box. Quiet contrary Adonis holds a very strong error check feature, identifying bad configuration in a network helping the administrator to perform best practice in the DNS and DHCP structure. With the Adonis box administering the network it will be much easier to implement new features and technologies, using the DNS and DHCP infrastructure, such as IP telephony.
